so i have to go back because i want the ability to return it (thank g-d i kept the reciept)

So you bought a phone that sucks and you want to return it? If you have a receipt and make enough of a stink, they will take it back. Don't be like a karen or some other loud piece of shit. Just go in and calmly explain to them that you would like to return it and its not broken and you have a receipt. If they say no, then calmly ask for the manager and ask why you can't return it. If the manager says no, go higher. You're likely going to have to do a little social engineering/social hacking to get what you want.
