I totally missed the fact that this was a thing. With the ability to load up outside games on steam, do you think it would be good for retro gaming?
Steam handheld? What the hell?
Re: Steam handheld? What the hell?
Huh.... It looks like it's actual hardware, not just a fancy way of doing remote play.....

Do I have enough faith in valve to make this thing not suck? I mean their track record isn't great. The steam box, turd. The steam link, turd. The steam controller, turbo turd. The valve index? Pretty awesome actually. 3 out of 4 failures.
Re: Steam handheld? What the hell?
The Steam controller was actually pretty good and a lot of people use it still.

I thought it felt flimsy. Steelseries has a better controller in my opinion. Either way the steam controller didn't sell that well I don't think.Helladamnleet wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 6:01 amThe Steam controller was actually pretty good and a lot of people use it still.
Re: Steam handheld? What the hell?
Well, the reserve servers are so swamped with orders that they can't handle it and have shut off the orders for the time being. Good sign I guess. Either that or they're doing that stupid "restrict supply to create hype" shit that places like Microsoft and Sony do with their consoles.
Re: Steam handheld? What the hell?
I think the biggest nail in the Steam Controller's coffin was that games have been pretty much designed around Xbox controllers for like 15 years now.
