This is actually a pretty good article that can build you a old time beige box, not that you really need one anymore. Hackers used to use these to connect themselves to a house or a neighborhood trunk line to do dangerous hacks without getting caught(from what I heard). You can still use these if the person has a land line I guess, there's really not much of a need for it anymore. The line mans head set, big orange or red phone you see them using from time to time, could be stolen also if you were inclined to do so.
Not much to say about this one I guess. Interesting side note, the creators email is at the bottom of the page. I wonder if he still uses those emails?
