I'm over on YouTube trying to explain why having a DVD drive is still a smart thing to do realizing that there really isn't a single use for an actual disc drive in 2020. Like, basically at all other than using any now pretty antiquated storage medium we have have clung on too.
Like, I only own a handful of DVDs still, all of which can be streamed at higher quality, and I don't own any music CDs, or any games on CD that aren't shovelware like Bejeweled. I also no longer burn CDs because I can bluetooth from my phone with good enough sound quality.

Oddly enough, tape drives are still used quite a bit. Both data and music tapes are used
