so i have an old 90s Compaq keyboard that i bought a $5 adapter for so I can use it on my Early 2009 Mac mini.

Anyways, I can get caps lock and scroll lock and num lock to work (get them to light up at the very least)

but it wont type at all. I will try ubuntu off usb stick to see but for now i always use mac os..

I think it's because Macs use a special keyboard driver.

I looked it up and it's apparently because Macs never used PS/2 keyboards, they used ABD keyboards, and odds are the 90's keyboard doesn't work with the adapter anyway because it's not a dual use keyboard.

Try a more expensive adapter?

Oh, and make sure it says Mac compatible I guess
