Some big changes are coming in my life, and as such I might not be around much, but I'll be sure to still be checking to make sure things are functioning properly.

Take it as an opportunity to pretend you're the real owner and draw in your own crowd.

Things might also go fine and I might be around just as much as usual, who knows?

To be honest I had kind of hoped by year 5 some cliques would have formed and I'd have already been able to step back and just watch the site function, but it's been slow.

Must be hard to build a userbase nowadays when there's only like 4 sites and they're basically just aggregators collecting content from all the smaller sites. Like, how do you even convince people to come to a forum?

It's like trying to find a job these days. People want there to already be an active community of over 100 people, but don't want to contribute to that 100 people.

Apparently I'm getting divorced soon though, so maybe I'll have more time to dedicate. Depends on what my living situation ends up being.

It'll work itself out. As per usual I haven't heard anything about it today and most likely won't, because if I leave who's going to watch the kids so she can go waste money at the bar?
