All he had to do was keep walking, but he turned around. Yeah the cop was a dick, yeah Rambo deserved a meal, but sometimes you have to take the L. Rambo goes to jail after this and it leads to Rambo First Blood Part 2. That leads into Rambo 3. Really all 3 Rambo movies hinge on this one scene where he decides to turn around and go back into town instead of just keep walking.

I'll admit, I haven't actually sat down and watched all the Rambos, but what I've seen makes me feel like he's a psycopath.

The Rambo book was far different than the movie. In the book he ended up dying at his last stand. I don't think Rambo is technically a psycho, maybe a sociopath though by the second to last Rambo movie when he says "when pushed killing is easy as breathing". I'm not sure if he was actually unhinged or if the literal hundreds of people he's killed has finally got to him. Either way he clearly has PTSD in massive doses.

It kind of sucks how movies are never as good as the books. Like I guess Forrest Gump did way more things in the book and made more sense over all. Oh, and he wasn't retarded if I recall, just slow.

In the fightclub book they actually cut off peoples balls and kept them in the freezer. By the end the narrator ends up in an insane asylum where his nurses are all fight club attendees just waiting for him to get it together.

Wow, really? I haven't actually read the book. That's crazy. I guess the Fincher preferred to keep the ball harvesting to just threats in the movie lmao

Yeah I guess actual castration was a bridge to far for cinema. Another good example of a book that was too harsh to be put into a movie is American Psycho. Yesh the shit that they left out of the movie is insane.
