As much as I hate captcha, do you think that might help? Is that something you can even implement?

Actually, yeah, I think I could do a captcha. I feel like I tried it before and people bitched about it though. Idk if it will fuck with CleanTalk but that shit ain't working anyway

Okay, so for now we're going to try ReCaptcha. I'm closing the thread to the general public but Das Troll and myself will be able to respond with any updates.

I think It would be annoying for an every post type deal, like how 4chan does it, but just using it for registration isn't too terrible I'd think. It's a one time thing.

Yeah it's just set up for reg right now. I don't even think I can set it up on a per-post basis, nor would I want to beyond, like, a new user class where the first 10-15 posts are monitored.
I don't think it will come to that though. I'm really actually not sure why we're suddenly being targeted so hard
