Just squeeze it open and wrap wires around both parts so that when it closes they smack together and complete a circuit.
You probably want to tape the wires or twist them real good on the back sides so that the tape doesnt stick up too far and keep it from connecting.
I plan to research this more later but if anyone else has some easy DIY dead man switches please share.

I'd use like a rubber band or something instead so you can remove it when the boss comes around.
