Would you pay more for non-plastic packaging?

Hi,
As I consume stuff I can't help but notice how much plastic I use. It's ridiculous really. In my youger days I wouldn't have batted an eye but as I get older I find I'm becoming more conscious about these things. Obviously plastic is a huge problem and one that I fear we'll never rid ourselves of but I've been thinking a bit about it lately. Glass would be a great substitute for most things but would obviously be more expensive to produce. Personally I wouldn't paying slightly more for things if it came in more environmentally friendly packaging, would you?
Please help.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
