Firefox causing issues in Linux

So, you have your favorite flavour of Linux installed, and your favorite browser, and are really starting to enjoy the internet, when you start to notice something: your computer is progressively getting slower and slower! A very likely cause is Firefox, still, after 14 years, has a memory leak! The problem now though, is with modern computing, Firefox tends to stay running in the background even when it's not in an attempt to preserve what tabs you have open, so after a while if you're a power user you'll notice significant slowdown.
But it's not all bad! I have a solution! Press ctrl+shift+del, select "everything" from the time frame, uncheck cookies and logged in sites, check the offline-content box, and hit go. I promise your shit will run better.
