Not the HL3 that we all wanted but it is a step in the right direction. The game looks fantastic and it uses the finger tracking knuckles controllers that come with the Valve Index VR headset. I don't have the headset but I do have the knuckles that I bought to use with my Vive Pro. The finger tracking can be a little hokey sometimes but over all it's a great start. I assume that the tracking will improve in time when firmware updates drop.
The physics look great, not as great as the upcoming Boneworks game but Boneworks is basically a sandbox tech demo. Speaking of Boneworks, day 1 purchase for me.

Re: Half Life: Alyx
I wonder how much longer until we come full circle and enter an augmented reality. Also what layer of reality we're really in, but that's off topic.

Re: Half Life: Alyx
I tried Playstation VR not long after it came out and it was kind of cool. I'm betting Valve just knocks it out of the park though.

Valve does FINGERS
FUCKING INDIVIDUAL FINGER PLACMENT

Re: Half Life: Alyx
Yes, but it's on devs to make games that utilize that functionality in a meaningful way.
