Wood Finishing

First I started with the above pictured factory stained item. After 7 years and two kids, it's time to restore this crib and breath some new life into it.

I removed all the factory stain and brought the wood back to it's natural state. I then cleaned it with mineral spirits to prep it for the stain I'm using.

The stain is considered a "premium" stain, so it went on nice and thick. You can still see the wood grains without it distracting from the colour of the stain. All that's left to do now is poly the whole crib and assemble it.

That's what stops me from driving truck for a living. I'm not going to get told I can't smoke weed on my free time.
