Motion tracking is finicky at best if you don't have a PTZ camera.

motion tracking via software isnt the best, but i know someweb cams do it pretty good with the right lighting conditons,, easy af to set up any old cellphone ,, webcam,, virtual video out, pretty much anything can be a ip cam,, if your routers is unacceptable youmight be fucked if u neeed to fowrad ports to feed it to the net live

Keep in mind too higher resolution takes up more bandwidth and processing power. I usually had good results at 720p 29.9 fps.
