I have a 1993 Passat GLX Wolfsburg. Needs some work, but rust wise it's top notch. A little surface shit from the chick I bought it from treating it like a teenage girl would, but I got it just in time to prevent anything serious. Undercoating was done at an early point in it's life, so I lucked out in terms of restoration projects go.

Golf's are sick, I can't stand Jetta's. Electrical nightmares in my experience.

I never had issues like that in my jetta's and I pounded the shit out of them

Ive owned between 5 to 9 golf's and probably 15 jetta's

buy them for under a grand,, beat em for a year and sell em for 2 g's

Yeah beating on them isn't going to bring out the electrical issues.

It's got something to do with that garbage fuse box that sits on top of the battery. The terminals come loose over time, cause a shit connection, get hot, then fuck themselves even harder.

It's pointless as fuck too. I've bypassed every line at the internal relay panel to run off ONE incoming line. I was nervous as fuck because by all means it should have blown the weird fuse.

I stopped buying them when i moved back into the rust zone.
