  • Electronic Nails

So I've been meaning to make this thread for a couple weeks now, but I've purchased an electronic nail, and lemme tell you, it absolutely is the game changer everyone told you it is.

The learning curve is admittedly there, and at first if you have absolutely zero experience, you might underheat it, or somehow scorch the first couple dabs, but once you find that sweet spot (675-685oF for me on the coil I have) it's fantastic. Zero guess work, it doesn't cool down half way through the dab, another advantage of it being hot is you can just have a sesh with no torch work between people, it stays hot so the dab stays liquid so cleaning it is fucking easy, and if for some reason shit burns onto it you can just crank it up to 1100.

The only three downfalls I can think of are: 1) If you break the coil or banger it's gonna cost a ton to replace it, so if you're clumsy an enail might not be for you. 2) It takes like 5 minutes to get hot vs 40 seconds, so you have the prioritize your time (IE: I turn mine one 15 minutes before I plan on dabbing), although one thing I noticed is you can hit it pretty quickly after it says it's up to temp. And lastly 3) All set up it does take it a lot of space because of the multiple power cords. Packed away it takes up half as much space as a propane torch, but it is bulky.

In closing: It's been a 10/10 experience that I highly recommend IF and only IF you have a dedicated spot to set it up. I got lucky because it's so small it fits on my desk in a way that it can remain hidden, but your mileage may vary.

Should be more cost effective in the long run as well, as you aren't using a torch to light it.

Exactly. Like, sure it was $107 after tax and shipping, but a two pack of propane is up to $12 and I swear they don't last as long so I'm going through 1-2 a month if not more.

Sure, it will take a year to really recoup that cost, but in the end it's mad worth it.

ONE gripe I have it is does make bringing it some places difficult, but it's not like I don't still have multiple traditional bangers and a torch still in a pinch.
