How to make Weed Brownies
This recipe makes about 16 potent brownies—fudgy in the center with a crackly top.
cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter (half regular, half cannabutter for control)
8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Optional: 1 cup chocolate chips or walnuts for extra texture…I love adding nuts to mine.
Use 7-14 grams of decarbed flower per cup of butter for medium-strong potency. However, start lower if you’re new. Current trends emphasize low-temp infusions to preserve terpenes for better flavor in chocolate recipes.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13 pan.
Underbaking slightly keeps them fudgy. For even edges, rotate pan halfway.
Estimate: If your cannabutter has 20-30mg THC per tablespoon and you use 8 tablespoons, total ~800-1200mg for the batch. Divided by 16 brownies = 50-75mg each—strong! Cut smaller for beginners (10-20mg). And this makes them dead simple to dose…just what ever size takes you where you want to go.

- Melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- Whisk in sugar, then eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla.
- Sift in flour, cocoa, and salt—fold gently until just combined (don’t overmix for fudginess).
- Stir in optional add-ins.
- Pour into pan and bake 25-30 minutes—center should be set but gooey.
- Cool completely (at least 2 hours) before cutting.
