  • Tierlist of games to avoid (Fucking completely)

    We're going to list a bunch of games in category

    CDG (community driven garbage)
    GIDS (gameplay is dogshit)
    MTA (microtransactions, more or less needed to progress in a pvp game)
    AOTA (a mix of these, or all of the above)

    \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\

    Albion online

    Short answer: Poor economy, Poor PVP mechanics, Story is non-existent (i doubt is important), Great grinding though, microtransaction, you can sometimes find toxic players but not that much (GIDS, MTA)

    Long answer: started this game a year ago, it only took me 3 weeks to get off of it completely, the economy was hard to get into when every way that actually works is not profitable even individually grinding your ass off for coins is hard enough, i can see this being good as a PVP game, but the lack of guides on Youtube, and it's MOBA styled gameplay is not worth it, because of the lack of guide, people will have to spend a considerable amount of time to actually get hooked on to the PVP of the game, the story, as told, doesn't really exist, the grinding is fun though when it comes to using maps, elder maps, shit like that, the defining

    once i tried buying one of the microtransaction, out of desperation because the game seemed good, didn't receive shit, talked to support, told me to fuck off in email

    //////////

    Clash royale

    short answer: complete utter garbage, microtransactions, the addition of level 15 only being acquirable in normal means of purchasing the entire fucking store, the community is always toxic, the gameplay was like a fucking "ring around the rosie" (AOTA)

    long answer: you don't need me to tell you this game is shit

    //////////

    League of legends

    short answer: no guides on actually ganking, decision making, or anything, it all boils down to "WHO THE FUCK KNOWS LMAO!!!!!!" and the community is riddled with shit smearing their damn lips (CDG, GIDS)

    Long answer: the game was fine, the only thing keeping me away from this game (thank god) was the toxic shit in it, it all boils down to decision making and teammate, which if you solo queue, have fun

    //////////

    Rise of kingdom

    short answer: Pretty good for relaxing and logging off when you don't feel like playing, the microtransactions though are deeply horrendous, The community was fine, some bad apples there and where (MTA)

    Long answer: the game is fine, when you don't wanna play, you log off without penalty, alliance wise, it is good, the farming is very good, it feels like stockholm syndrome, the pvp is power scaled though, meaning that power means more than what you bring to the table

    //////////

    Roblox

    short answer: (AOTA)

    long answer: (AOTA)

    //////////

    Most of these games are fine in other aspects, the ones i mentioned with (AOTA) are completely shit

    Beautiful use of acronyms, they describe the common flaws in videogames today perfectly.
    Albion and Clash Royale have similar problems, there is obviously a diminishing return in progress as you play, but the diminish in marginal returns is so great that, in order to be competetive in any capacity whatsoever, you have to purchase microtransactions. And the microtransactions don't stop after 5, or 10, or even 30$. Oh, no. If you are unlucky enough to join Clash Royale post 2018, you are going to spend 100$ on micro transactions to be competitive at all. same for Albion. In the case of Albion in particular, I second Aub's notion that the grind is great.

    There are very few good roblox games, but the ones that are good still have a fatal flaw: the playerbase is a bunch of Snot-Eating Diaper-Shitting babies that don't even have long enough fingers to press f12 when I tell them to fuck off. The game has been around for 15+ years now, so you think the playerbase might have gained a couple of older folk by now, nope. Not in the slightest.

      Primarily the reason why i stopped playing completely after receiving my PC, and yeah, there are some good games on roblox such as booga booga but they are filled to the brim with little shits, you'd think that a game that causes you to lose everything if you die will deter kids, think again, they probably think they're rust players at this point, i tried giving all of them a chance, never came out well, usually ruining my VIP servers (VIP servers saves your builds on booga) in a major way, until they realize i can kick them out and never let them back in, another note, most games feel dead at some point, i soon realized that with apex, it felt "not alive", i was gonna put apex on the list, but it did not fit the criteria, usually because every game is either the same or different, i tried older games like postal 2, SCP containment breach, terraria, spore and they all feel "better" than what the current games are, mostly because the current games feel like gambling instead of just "Good Gameplay and different routes", it's honestly better games become more skill based than actual luck based, skill itself is chance, a chance to either screw up or feel good, realizing that a game is more luck based than skill based, you kind of feel like your not in control of it, control is what secures enjoyment.

      Yeah man, I used to play Phantom Forces, it used to be really popular FPS game on Roblox, at peak popularity it probably had abt 20k players at a given moment every day. Because the playerbase is kids, and most kids have more freetime than adults, an enormous amount of the player base is making progression quicker than the minority of adults who only play an hour or two a week, that's how it is with most games, but especially so with Roblox.
      I've also found that I enjoy older single player games a great deal more than some multiplayer games. For example, Hitman 2 silent assassin has shitty graphics and such for today, but the core components of the game (Story, Gameplay mechanics, replayability, UI, etc.) are fine tuned to a T. Today, if you want full access to all of the new gen Hitman 2 content, even though it is a single player game, you have to buy a shitload of extra content too. Videogames used to be made out of love and passion, man, now video games are made with the sole purpose of turning a profit. It's sickening.

      Eventually, after greed companies fuck off, maybe we'll see passionate games, though china is probably not gonna like the idea of actual passion, usually they put regulations on games they don't even own, hopefully soon we can actually get back to games that aren't catered to snowflakes on twitter

      literally a week ago, i'm seeing an artist get cancelled for a fucking art he made, the majority of twitshitters (usually what i call them) got riled up because the character was supposedly lesbian, even though the character never stated this type, and tried fixing his art (pretty much forgot what he was called or the video i found)

    Yeah, I've had similar experiences with Clash Royale. The faggots at Supercell want nothing to do with their player base except get their money via microtransactions, that you, just like NiggardlyNick said, will NEED to get at SOME POINT IN THE GAME. If you are content with not being competitive in the game, then that's fine. At least content isn't locked behind microtransactions, like with other games.l

      There's nothing wrong with Roblox. You just suck at gaming.
