Real or Fake? Binary.
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/289485...t_scary_stuff/
Watch the video. Binary explosive. Was wondering if it was real or fake and if anyone had any clue what the two ingredients were. |

Re: Real or Fake? Binary.
the binary explosive used does exist and is called FIXOR
the ingredients are a corporate secret but it is not that powerful or heat sensitive i think the thing that destroyed the melon was the huge fucking mortar it was sitting on |
Re: Real or Fake? Binary.
fakefakefakefakefake.
I believe in the last thread about this, the two ingredients were stated as corn flower and red food colouring. |
Re: Real or Fake? Binary.
"[1] The ORIGINAL video is from Metacafe.com submitted by 'shootingeggs'. (This link is controversial. Several viewers believe that this film is possibly a hoax, one discrepency being that the person speaks into what appears to the untrained eye to be a walkie talkie or 2-way radio. In fact this is a Maycom AR-8 Airband / UHF Receiver, and does not have the capability to transmit. This is one of the many errors in that film. FIXOR, see link below, is a legitimate binary explosive, yet does not have the power observed in the film for such a small quantity. FIXOR is also is a binary liquid explosive whose components separate and becomes relatively inert after two hours, requires a detonator, and is not heat sensitive.)" From Wiki
It looks to be labeled as 1.1B, "1.1 Mass Explosion Hazard, B An article containing a primary explosive substance and not containing two or more effective protective features. Some articles, such as detonator assemblies for blasting and primers, cap-type, are included." or possibly 1.1D "Secondary detonating explosive substance or black powder or article containing a secondary detonating explosive substance, in each case without means of initiation and without a propelling charge, or article containing a primary explosive substance and containing two or more effective protective features." |
Re: Real or Fake? Binary.
if it was real, planes around the world would be exploding like fireworks.
another funny thing about the video is how they said, "watch how the melon is vaporized."- lol, nothing was vaporized. |
Re: Real or Fake? Binary.

Not to mention the whole short-fuse-in-small-tube problem.

Re: Real or Fake? Binary.
Fixor is used commercially for in-place detonation of mines, both anti-personnel and anti-tank, and for other EOD purposes. It is (and must be) detonated with a blasting cap. Just go to: Fixor
