Back around the dawn of Christianity. First Century AD or so, there existed a religion called Gnostisism. It was about equal to Christianity in terms of followers. It was the belief that there was a god, but he gave up in the affairs of men after he created the world. One of the demons (gods? whatever) in the Gnostic pantheon was Abraxas (not Abraxis). He was a god of BOTH good and evil. He represented reconsiled opposites.

Much can be learned from that symbol/god/archetype if you put some thought into it. Only in the reconsiliation of both good and evil can you be a complete, POWERFUL, person.

Whatever happened to these old-fashioned religions of strength? Now all the religions of the world worship emasculated gods that glorify weakness. It is truly a sign of the decadence of the times.
