you could see it that way if you wish, but all religions just are trying to keep youu and the human race alive, it tries to prevent us from slaughtering each other, if you think it is a "scare tactic" than I believe that your emotionally insecure and probably just had a rude awakening which you took incorrectly. The fact that you actually get angry when people try to convince you to join a religion is pathetic, religion is trying to help the human race so....there is no reason to get angry.
