i think thats pretty amazing.

i think he is better than steve vai and such.. because those guys do alot of pointless things.. while they are emotionaly just as good... are really simple.

but some of the stuff this guy plays, and even just comes up with is so amazing.

He has amazing technical skill. He was Buckethead's main teacher actually. The first video is just crazy shred stuf, but the second is actually a pretty cool song. Oh and I've seen that vid that Sambob posted. Just insane... I can't believe how well he can just play a song from any fucking random artist they tell him to!

Well Paul taught at GIT for a long long time, thats where the connection is really from.

Paul knows all those classic metal tunes because of years in show business though. Even some pretty shit guitarists have a repertoire.

yea ive watched all those vids on youtube with marty friedman, its funny how popular shred guitar is in japan

What so weird is I haven't really listened to Paul Gilbert in about five years or more, but I still have all of those shred sections from his Racer X and Mr Big days stuck in my head, and I can more or less play them but the problem is I dont remember which song theyre from!!
