The "throw in the towel" thread

The only rule is that you have to genuinely like the artist you're throwing in the towel for.

D'Angelo: One of the most talented soul artists ever, and the arguable creator of the neo-soul movement. The whole industry and scene was eating out of his palm, and now look at him. He has released two albums in the last ten years (or EVER if you don't count that Live at the Jazz Cafe disc), he can't tour anymore because everytime he hits the road he requires rehabilitation, and now he's in court again because he got into a car wreck whie intoxicated and under a suspended license while he had cocaine and weed on his person... he and the passenger were both injured. He's done. He's gotten fat, burnt out, useless, and is now probably going to rot in prison all at the age of 33. Christ almight, the most disappointing career in recent memory.

I honestly had faith in his return when he checked into rehab, but as much as I hate to say it, I'm throwing in the towel for D'Angelo.
