I just bought today on break at work:

Symphony X - Paradise Lost
Explosions in the Sky - How Strange, Innocence
The Polyphonic Spree - The Fragile Army

All are excellent. I'm a recently converted Symphony X fan (thanks, Sam!), so this is a real treat. And the Polyphonic Spree are just spectacular pop. Spectacular.

I like some of the older Symphony X, but their latest just didn't hook me.

Yesterday I bought:

Six Feet Under ~ Commandment

It's alright. For twelve bucks I couldn't really go wrong.

What's that album like? The slower stuff of their first few albums or more speed based?

I actually haven't heard any of their other stuff, but Commandment has a pretty fast pace to it. Not too fast though.

I might check it out. I can't stand most death metal that relies on amazing speed alone, I prefer the slower grinding shit.
