An 8086 that my father built. I used it to type papers (in elementary school) with Word Perfect and play "F-15 Strike Eagle". In the late 80's/early 90's, my father did some work for Tandy (now defunct branch of Radio Shack), and we got a few 386 & 486 server machines. I got a 486 DX2/50 w/ SCSI hard drive fitted out w/ 16 1MB SIMM's, and I got to keep it in my own room! It played "Wing Commander 2" like a champ!

Edit:
By the way-- I still have and use two of the keyboards from those Tandy machines-- best keyboards I ever used, really well made with great key feel and no fucking Windows or "multimedia" keys.

An old 486DX with 300MB hard drive running Windows 3.1. Can't remember anything more about it other than I played Chip's Challenge on it all day.

I played DX-Ball (a Breakout clone) on my 486 - it ran but took ages to load. When our house got the internet via a 56k modem I was dead pleased. I remember going to get a glass of juice and make a sandwich while waiting for Dogpile to load.

Nah, it was a search engine I used because it had a cool name. It's still there: www.dogpile.com

The first computer i ever owned was an amstrad black and white one, the first real computer was an Intel 100mhz processor, 600mb HDD, 10" screen and 64mb memory. It was a hand down from my father, but at the time it was hilariously fast. It ran Windows 3.1 like a dream, anything after that was horrible

I remember installing Windows 95 off a stack of floppy disks as high as my knee. My computer didn't have a CDROM - I eventually got a super-slow external one which plugged into the parallel port.

And you had to install IE separately!
