Yes. They were.

There are also some more books written as well, by a different author.

Talking Re: The Bourne Ultimatum

The bourne films are definitely some of my favorite action films.
Good raw action and a satisfying lack of super human powers due to CGI.
Cant wait for the new ones - And if they do release more - Even better. If they're at a similar standard to what we've already had.

Good point who ever brought up the bond series.
The last few bond films have been pretty sucky and could do with the competition, or even out doing.

I agree, the Bourne movies have been out-Bonding the last few Bond movies. It reminds me of the one with Timothy Dalton where he resigns and sets out to satisfy his vendetta against someone or other.

Does anyone have any idea what the general storyline/point is behind Bourne 3? Identity he was running away/figuring out who he was and kicking ass along the way. Supremacy he was avenging his girlfriend/figuring out who he was and kicking ass along the way. I just can't imagine who really wants to step out and have their's kicked next. Like someone said above, it's all over after you get the shit beat out of you with a newspaper.

Read the book?

Since I never read the books, I'll just wait until the movie comes out(one week after the Simpsons movie FTW!).

I would imagine Bourne Ultimatum is going to have to do with him going back to the US (Colorado iirc) and wrap up the loose ends about his identity and whatever. That's what it was set up for from the last movie. Since it's called ultimatum, that means that Bourne's probably going to do something really awesome too.

To me this seems like the most under the radar recent movie series I can think of. This makes me curious, with everyone having such high praise for it.

Maybe it's not so under the radar? How did it do in the box office?

It's not out yet. IMDB says it comes out August 3rd.
