I love the lack of advertising (Other than the 7-11 thing) 3 weeks before the movie debuts. They know they don't need it because you're going to see it.

I loved that too. For once, a huge movie hasn't been overhyped. This will cause people's interests to be piqued by the movie, instead of feeling that the movie has been shoved down their throats.

It wouldn't even matter if they had advertisements for 6 months beforehand. You will see it. It is official. Unless you're a cunt who doesn't see it to be rebellious because everyone else is seeing it (Which napoleon_complex definately isn't by his posts).

You know, I won't even care if the movie sucks. Its the fucking simpsons for gods sake! It has the potential to be one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.

Wait....this shit hasnt even been released yet? Now,I don't watch TV to know what goes on with trailers and "opening July 30th" and all that shit,but I saw big posters and trailers for this movie back when I went to see Hot Fuzz a long time ago.

Why did they have trailers and shit for a movie that doesnt come out like 3 months later?

Because they do that all the time in movie theaters. Movie theaters ALWAYS advertise big movies(such as The Simpsons Movie) that are a few months away because they want everyone to come to their theater to see it(lots of tickets and lots of concessions).

We were talking about the television ad campaign, which has been pretty subdued to date.

Aren't pretty much all trailers are for movies months away?

I think it will be disappointing and abit cringe worthy. I'm sure it will get afew laughs out of me but I really don't like the humour in the last few series, it seems to have turned dumb and childish.
