Why I think people don't like immigrants/are racist

Typically, the immigrants are non-white. Non-whites have broader noses on average than whites. Broad noses are considered less cute/physically appealing than smaller noses. They also tend to be less able to elicit feelings of cuteness/protection in the observers (conversely, babies, who all have tiny noses, tend to elicit feelings of cuteness in observers who then wish to care for them). Therefore, it's understandable that compared to whites the non-whites tend to engender feelings of animosity more easily because they do not present emotionally appealing facial features (which tend to mitigate feelings of animosity).

Same thing can be said about their hair colour/skin tone. Darker hair and skin colour are associated with maturity in age (babies tend to have fairer hair and skin than their adult counterparts, and this is uniform across the races). Therefore, by virtue of possessing less than fair skin and pure black hair, the immigrants/non-whites fail to exhibit baby-like physical features and as a result of this, tend to encounter more animosity than they otherwise would have.

I think that your wrong.

I agree that more attractive people are probably going to have an easier time fitting in, making friends and being successful - but plenty of people find foreigners attractive.

Plenty of white people think asians or africans are sexy - there is proof.

Another idea: social animals tend to prefer and render more aid to animals that are genetically similar to themselves, because if an animal has this trait, its descendants are also likely to have this trait and support each other rather than others. in the long run, this would result in propagating the genes of the ancestor individual more effectively.

Nose size might work, there are very generally defined cuteness traits that transcend species and are universal to basically all mammals and other tetrapods to a lesser extent, but if it influenced racial preference you would also have to show that people without small noses prefer people with small noses.

I dont have a small nose and I prefer people with small noses.

Also, men on average have larger noses than women and they seem to like the small noses in women.
