Re: can people really do anything if they put their mind to it?
You sound like you're on the direct path to becoming a lazy bum/hobo. Get some enthusiasm for life. You're never going to make it in life with that attitude. I know that sounds like something an annoying teacher or authority figure would say, but it's just common sense, it's the truth.
I used to think like you back when I was younger. I was always thought "Eh, I'll just go out to the forest, start a farm, and live like that so I could just live life the way I want to and not worry about anything." but it's really not that easy. You always need a lot of money to start off for the ride, the land, etc. and you need a job for that shit.
Life gets hard when you turn 18. I remember the day I graduated from High School my mom kicked me out of the house.
As soon as you're old and shit, your parents nor the world is going to give a shit.
Take my advice and don't be so damn negative, you can do anything you want, just keep yourself motivated.
What you can try doing is something like "Ok, if I finish this task, I'll reward myself with _____" I usually reward myself with weed, but that's just my thing, you try something of your own. Also, try to get like a buddy to spot you on your goals, to keep you focused on the right things, and stay away from negative people, they will only drag you down to the dirt.
