Who's this philosopher that I am thinking of?

Hi. Apologies to the mods if in wrong forum.

I am thinking of this philosopher, however I cannot remember his name for the life of me. What I do know for sure is 1. he was incredibly shy and could not be around more than one person at a time; 2. he had a piglet following him around because he had trouble maintaining normal relationships.

What I kind of know is 1. his first name is probably Benjamin (though I am not sure) and 2. he was British (I think).

I think it had to do with utilitarianism, but not sure.

Most likely him. When I have time I will read through the whole thing to see if they mentioned extreme shyness and having a piglet.
