NO YOU CAN BE PART OF REACT. For more than 25 years, REACT has been the
leader in public service radio. We've earned the us presidential Volunteer
Action Award. Who is REACT? React is an international organization of
volunteers who use cb radios to provide public service communication for
travelers and their local communities. Current REACT membership includes about
700 Teams and 12,000 dues paying members. Our Objectives To assist in any
emergency by furnishing Radio Communications in Cooperation with Authorities
and other Volunteer Organizations. To practice and encourage operating
excellence through skilled communications techigues. To maintain equipment at
peak efficiency and operate in accordance with all government regulations. To
advise the public on correct, effective use of CB Emergency Channel 9. Now's

TWO WAYS TO JOIN...
1. LOCAL REACT TEAMS
Teams are the Backbone of the REACT organization. Joining you local REACT team
will provide you with many personal rewards as you team up with other members
to provide baluable services to your community.
REACT teams develop their own 24- hour monitoring system on CB Emergency
Channel 9, provide support for highwas safety programs and maintain emergency
communication during disaster. Many REACT Teams assist in Crime prevention
through Neighbor Hood watch programs and other Police sponsored activities.
REACT teams are also active in reporting and receiving Impaired Driver Alerts

REACT Teams also vote in State Officer and international REACT Board elections

2 THE REACT AFFILIATE PROGRAM
More REACT volunteers are needed to supplement REACT Teams and make sue that
everyone who ask for help gets it. Thats Where you come in. The REACT Affiliate
Program is for People like you who are concerned about safety on the road, and
who want to use their CBS effectively to report Emergenices, possible impaired
drives and other on the road problems to Offical REACT Teams or other monitors
for fast action. As a REACT affiliate, you be joining thousands of other
volunteers who: Support the goals and purposes of REACT by providing public
service through communications; Strive for communication excellence in
reporting emergencies on CB Channel 9 to local REACT Team, public agencies or
other monitors; and Provid information to other on the Proper use of CB
EMERGENCY CHANNEL 9 . The annual fee for an Affiliate is just $15.00. In
addition to helping REACT carry out it work, your fee entitles you to important
REACT Volunteer benefits, including a one year subscription to the REACTer, the
offical magazine of REACT. BECOME A REACT AFFILIATE TODAY...AND
1. You'LL receive special information and guidance on the use of CB Emergency
Channel 9 to get help for yourself and others. 2. You'll get a one year's
Subscription (six issues ) to the REACTer magazine Free that an $ 11.00 value.
3. We'll send you a copy of our international react Team Contac Directory (a

REACT team wherever you are.

REACT WANTS YOU TO KNOW HOW TO GET HELP BY C.B. RADIO
You can use CB Channel 9 for any emergency involving immediate danger to life
or roperty- accidents, fires, injuries, impaired drivers.
BROADCAST YOUR CLIP: CALL SIGN- Identify yourself and your vehicle or boat.
LOCATION- Be exact and include City and state/ province.
Injuries- Jumber and type. Is anyone trapped ?
Problem- Give details and specify what type of help is needed.
MONITORS NEED YOUR CLIP AIR IT REPEATEDLY. HERE'S HOW:
" Emergency. Any station. This is (I.D.).
I'm on (ROAD) about 4 miles east of (TOWN) in (STATE/PROVINCE). One person in
injured. Two cars have collided. Please Notify police".
Pause for a response, Then Repeat your message over and over. Monitors often
hear callers great distances away and can send help without the callers hearing
them. EVEN IF YOU CAN'T HEAR A RESPONSE, KEEP TRYING.
