Civil Air Patrol Radio Frequencies

The Civil Air Patrol or "CAP" is involved in nearly all missing aircraft search in the USA. If you hear about a missing aircraft, scan the CAP channels to find the ones active for that mission.

AM 026.6100 Search and Rescue

AM 121.7750 Practice ELT Beacon
AM 122.7000 Pilot Training
AM 122.9000 Pilot Training
AM 123.1000 Search and Rescue
FM 143.7500 Repeater INPUT
FM 143.7750 Search and Rescue
FM 143.9000 Repeater INPUT
FM 143.9500 Search and Rescue
FM 148.1250 Repeater OUTPUT
FM 148.1375 Search and Rescue
FM 148.1500 Repeater OUTPUT
FM 148.5375 Search and Rescue

FM 148.9750 Search and Rescue

While these frequencies are used around the USA, channel numbers very from state to state. 148.125 and 148.150 are also used for simplex when units are close, or if the repeater is out of range.
