SL> I want to know how to improve my way of thinking in physics.

I've tutored people in physics. Basic physics problems are pretty easy to
solve if you follow these steps:

First, write down everything you know about the problem. Say it's a falling
body problem. Write down the accelleration, the initial velocity, the height
of the fall, anything where numbers are given.

Second, draw a picture of what is happening and label the parts of the
picture.

Third, write down what you DON'T know: the final velocity (Vf = ?), the time
elapsed (t = ?), whatever.

Fourth, find a formula that has the variables in it that you have plus the
one you're missing. Write down the formula.

Plug the numbers into the formula.

Do the algebra and get the answer.

Everyone I've met who "can't do physics" tries to go straight to step 4...
and ends up floundering around without getting the answer. Follow these steps
for ALL of the problems given, even the simple ones, so when you do the
harder ones it'll be easy for you.

Note: The "harder" physics problems may require solving two formulas. If the
formula that gives you the answer has two unknowns, chances are that there's
another formula you'll have to solve first to find one of the unknowns, then
you plug that answer into the second formula.
