A Fundamental Introduction to the Compact Disc Player by Grant Erickson
The compact disc player has become one of the most ubiquitous pieces of consumer electronics equipment in use today. Tens of millions of players have been sold to date. However, as pervasive as the compact disc player's presence is, the beauty and complexity of its design and operation are underappreciated by most users. This brief text attempts to inform the reader of the basic fundamentals of the compact disc player.
A History of Chemical & Biological Warfare by Greg Goebel
The history of chemical warfare traces largely back to a single man: Fritz Haber, who developed poison gases for Germany during the First World War. Poison gases of various sorts were already available as unwanted by-products of chemical processes. At his Berlin institute, founded by the Kaiser himself, Haber began experimenting with and refining such toxins to find those suitable for battlefield use.

In 1978, Bulgarian dissident Georgi Markov was assassinated using an ?umbrella gun? that shot ricin into his thigh. At least 66 people died of inhalational anthrax when an aerosol of Bacillus anthracis spores was accidentally released from a BW research facility in Sverdlovsk, USSR in 1979. By 1991, the Iraqis had weaponized anthrax, botulinum toxin, and aflatoxin.

Crisis of the Mind: Who is Watching Out For Your Health? by Bob Brown
I received a request from a hospital to evaluate one of their patients for possible referral to our traumatic brain injury rehabilitation program. The police had arrested this patient for driving under the influence and had brought her to the hospital emergency room because of her obvious serious medical condition. Her condition was stabilized, she was tested for drug and alcohol use and she was chemical free. She was definitely not under the influence. The hospital could not find a cause for her condition. While driving to work, she had lost most of her memory, her ability for complex thoughts and her ability to drive. She did not recognize her mother; she had become instantly senile (not officially diagnosed), even though she was only 24 years old. Her condition eventually improved.
Cyanides by Gray
Alkali metal cyanides (mostly potassium cyanide, KCN, or sodium cyanide, NaCN) have a history dating back to the 18th century. They are widely used in chemical synthesis, gold mining, electroplating, and a variety of other industrial processes. NaCN and KCN are very similar chemically, although sometimes one form or the other is preferred.

A food pathogen is a microscopic organism which reproduces in your food and can cause illness when consumed. The very food you eat in your everyday life. The human species as a whole has always been consuming these same foods for thousands of years.

Information on Genital Herpes
The herpes virus which causes both genital herpes and cold sores is the herpes simplex virus, abbreviated HSV. There are two types of HSV: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Most oral (i.e, cold sores) and ocular infections are caused by HSV-1; most genital infections are caused by HSV-2. However, either can cause infection anywhere on the body.

Known and Suspected Carcinogens
The following chemicals are known or suspected carcinogens. This list has been compiled from a number of sources, but it is not (and cannot be) comprehensive. Therefore, the absence of a chemical from this list does not mean that it cannot have carcinogenic properties. Neither does the presence of a chemical in the list indicate that it is a proven carcinogen. However, users should treat the materials listed with the caution due to suspected carcinogens, and gather as much safety data as possible before starting work. Restrictions apply to the use of some of these chemicals in the U.K. We have done our best to ensure the data below is as accurate as possible, but cannot accept responsibility for its use or mis-use.

Materials Liable to Form Peroxides in Storage
The following materials may form peroxides in storage, when in contact with air. Once a container is opened, the chemical should be tested for peroxides not less frequently than once every six months using a product such as Merckoquant test paper. A peroxide-containing material always constitutes an explosion risk, but the risk is particularly serious if the material is heated. This is because peroxides are generally less volatile than the compound from which they are formed, (usually having lower vapour pressure because of increased intermolecular forces between the - now strongly polar - peroxide molecules). Distillation therefore leads to progressive concentration of the peroxide. The combination of a concentrated solution of peroxide with heating can result in explosive decomposition.

More Info on Genital Herpes
The current belief is that genital herpes is not contagious when there are no symptoms, but that frequently people do NOT identify the symptoms as being associated with genital herpes. This typically occurs when the sores aren't noticeable. It is contagious in the prodromal stages (before the sores appear) but it is believed that the person with genital herpes can sense an outbreak coming.

Possible Ozone Solution by Agent Boris_KGB
I know there is talk that involves a synthetic ozone. Well that has been proven to be a very costly thing and near impossible. What I was thinking of is something that stops that Cl(Chlorine) atom in the the CFCs from destroying any more Ozone atoms. I thought about this, and ozone produces itself naturally from photons from the UV radiation, so it IS repairing itself. But the CFCs are making that process hard to work well.

The Physics of Sex by A.W. Kuhfeld, et al. M.I.T.
Research into sex has long been hindered by the common practice of considering the human male and female to be two distinct entities, having totally unrelated properties. The clearest expression of this attitude may be found in the erroneous system of experimental calibration known as the Double Standard. Rather, there is an intimate relationship between these two forms of humans, as recent experiments have conclusively revealed.

What data is offered seems inconclusive to me.

Theoretical Perspectives on Maladaptive Behavior
Since everyone experiences danger, the use of these responses, called defense mechanisms, clearly is not a special characteristic of maladaptive behavior. Defense mechanisms are used by all people, either singly or in combination, at one or another. The level of adaptive behavior depends on the repertory of defenses available to the individual under study.
