Re: i can see a paradox.

How exactly does any point of your rant refute what I said? If you actually read this thread you would know that I have already made the point that for it to be possible to see/visit the future, the...

Re: i can see a paradox.

For God to be able to see all of time as a
single "moment", all of time must already exist. If it did not exist, it would not be there for Him to see. If any event (in our future) can be seen by God...

Re: i can see a paradox.

Imagine your entire lifetime recorded as a movie. An omniscient god knows your life frame by frame. There's not a single frame of the movie that is your life, that he did not know of with certainty...

Re: crankshaft pulley / harmonic balancer

From looking at a shop manual, there doesn't appear to be anything to worry about. Just remove your accessory drive belt(s), remove the bolt, remove the damper, reassemble in reverse order of removal.

Re: i can see a paradox.

We're not talking about predictions when talking about omniscience. We're talking about knowing with infallible certainty in advance, what you will do.

Re: crankshaft pulley / harmonic balancer

Model/make/year?

If the manual is telling you to align the timing marks before you loosen the damper bolt, odds are that the timing gears are not keyed to the crankshaft, and depend on the damper...

Re: How do I negotiate with American car companies?

Of course the dealers are pretty desperate to make sales . And if you can find a vehicle which has been difficult for them to sell, they will cut you a pretty good deal. They're not going to take too...

Re: Transmission shifts hard and slips

More likely than not, you have an AOD transmission in your Lincoln. If so , check your TV cable (or linkage) to make sure the bushing at the throttle body hasn't come apart. It's a common failure on...

Re: i can see a paradox.

It's simple, really. For god (or anyone else) to know future events with certainty , said events must be predetermined. If the future is predetermined, free will is merely an illusion, and you have...

Re: How do I negotiate with American car companies?

It doesn't work quite that way. New car/truck dealerships normally don't own the vehicles on their lot (other than used vehicles). The vehicles belong to the manufacturer and are on consignment to...

Re: ID this thing under the hood for me?

Sorry Argon, but angryonion is correct. There is always a check valve between the reservoir and the intake manifold. On some vehicles, the check valve is integral to the vacuum reservoir inlet. The...

Re: Learning about cars help

There is a good chance that you have a cracked head, although it may be a blown head gasket.

Your best bet is to borrow a block tester like this one...

Re: Tools.

Dealership techs are actually paid quite well for the most part. Almost all are on commission and are limited only by their ability and how hard they wish to work.

Warranty repairs usually don't...

Re: What could cause this (spark plugs)

Pray tell how any of the items listed could affect only one cylinder?

A leaking injector is almost always at fault if only one cylinder is extremely rich.

What leads me to believe that the slosh module is not the culprit is this statement by the OP:

Re: Fuel gauge bobbing

Your sending unit has a bad (high resistance) spot . It's a common problem on late 80s/early 90s Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles.

Check with your local parts store to see if you can get the sender...

Re: new forum title, header?

Which of the following would you most likely hear a kid say?

" My daddy can whip yours."

or

"My daddy can whip your daddy."

I think the current forum title is best left unchanged.
