Let me first say that I don't use drugs (not even OTC) and I don't have any sort of vision or brain damage or anything like that. Also, I have no religious beliefs that you could relate to any sort of religion (that I know of), and so this has nothing to do with a brainwashing.
Occasionally I will to see the truth. What I mean is, I 'ask' whatever is out there to show itself, even if it isn't a god itself. Well anyway, one night (not too long ago) after I did this, I was laying in bed on my side and I heard something making a sort of incoherent whispering sound, so I turned to look up at the ceiling (thought it was chipmunks or squirrels in the ceiling at first), and when I looked up I saw all sorts of lights. Not blinding lights or anything like that, it was sort of like looking at a moving painting, except it seemed like I could just walk forever into the lights. The colours ranged all over the colour wheel, it wasn't any distinct colour. I was completely awake when all this happened, too.
I really don't kno whow to explain it or what the hell it could've been. This is why I am asking for help here. I know a lot of you have experience with out of body experiences and that sort of thing, so I was wondering if maybe that's what it was. Otherwise, I'm lost religion-wise. I've never heard of any such thing in any teachings.
