"who created God? his mother."

this no thought involved nonsense pisses me off.

let me ask you a question.

if everything needs to be created by something, who created the universe.

if the universe is eternal and does not need a creator, why does a god?

if jackass falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear, does he make a sound?

"this no thought involved nonsense pisses me off."

Right on Izzy, that crap pisses me off too. Although, it is a legitimate question. It's answer can also be found in the bible. You guys oughta try reading it sometime. After all, as Scavenger said somewhere....It is the worlds leading book that contains the answers to such questions. Or something to that effect. Psamls 90:2 towards the end of that it says, "Even from time indefinate to time indefinate you are God." Is that reasonable? Our minds cannot fully comprehend it. But that is no reason for rejecting it. Consider "time".... No one can point to a certain moment as the beginning of time. And it is a fact, even though our lives end...time does not. We do not reject the idea of time because there are aspects of it we do not fully comprehend. Rather, we regulate our lives by it! The same principle applies to the existence of God

Then who created the reciprocal god? God ^-1, aka Dog.

Parsimony. Throwing in a God would be positing more than is minimally neccessary. The more factors you have, the greater the chance of being wrong you have. The hypothesys that works and has the least amount of factors is most likely the correct one.

With that in mind, we know for a fact that the universe exists, it's these unseen gods that many are skeptical of.

Throwing a god into the equation is completely redundantant, adds an unneccessary third party, generates more problems than it solves, and doubles the probability of error.

"Throwing a god into the equation is completely redundantant, adds an unneccessary third party, generates more problems than it solves, and doubles the probability of errors."

not in the context it was used.

it's the something from nothing paradox, the same paradox used in the "who created god" example.

if the universe has always existed it does not need a creator,

if god exists and has always existed he does not need a creator.

with the universe and it's state of existance, has in how it got here, will it always be here is the same as asking the mother of god.

if you believe the universe existed forever and did not need a creator, why do you assume a god does.

it becomes a double standard, you can believe one thing is eternal and not another?

if you believe the universe had a starting point and was created from something, then something created it, something created that and so on.

here the mother of god argument APPEARS to hold it's weight, but in reality whatever created the "god" would in reality be the "god" itself.

since i consider the did god have a creator question to demonstrate the reasoning not to believe using the beliefs of something that we know exists but know nothing really of the origin beyond specualation is a perfect analogy to use when confronting the origin of something we don't know exists.

the question does not imply does god exist, which yeah would make a universe comparison silly.

but the origin of the universe and the origin of god is the exact same question, and makes the universe comparison that much more effective because the existance of the universe we are sure of but it's origin is now and forever shall be many theories the validity of which is based solely upon belief.

because the origin of the universe is untestable, look at all the evidence for the big bang, including a background microwave radiation that is EXACTLY like it should be had the big bang occurred, yet people still say bullshit, for no reason but belief.

the only way to test creation is to recreate creation whose internal observance would be most impossible to influence since we exist outside that universe, much like god.
