It is like philosophy: you can't grasp its meaning unless you postulate something and see how it works, just that philosophy works with the brain and religion with the soul, and a soul is a bit longer to start than a brain, so you need to invest some serious research and some beginner practice, to check how it works with you personally.

What I'm saying is, pick a religion randomly, use it a bit by practice and learning, then sit back and check how/if it affected you.

Then check other religions, and decide according to what works for you/makes sense.

You don't want some cult that will work a lot with your feeling("it works!") but makes you into some fringe brainwashed moonie...

'some seed was cast on stony ground'. You are too optomistic about the level of awareness I think. You are the person who made me realise I am a agnostic not an atheist; I'm seriously pig-headed, that means it's a compliment http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif.

Well I'd be a pig with two heads if you say that (you can't beat me on modesty http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif).

I just mean people can't judge religion as a whole unless they tried it from inside. I can find flaws in buddhism if looking with a rationalistic (evil) eye, but only by trying buddhism will I know what I'm talking about.

I don't know, it's very hot today My brains are tumble-dried. Nice to meet you Dr.

Ah, that depends: I don't know if chemistry is supposed to be used the way you use it.

In anything you ought to be able to say: I did it my way.
