The Mystical properties of such items as amanita muscaria, Yage(ayahuasca),and acid

Just wondering if anyone else has tried any of these lovely entheogens. Tell me about your spirtual experiences with these.

How do you define spiritual?

I wouldn't think that something that is known for causing violent convulsions and/or death would be considered a 'sacrement.'

So long as you have some atropine onhand, yeah, I guess amanita would be "safe" for the adventurous at heart. In my opinion, poisoning myself isn't my preferred choice in religious experience.

Let's see there are many different varieties of amanitas. The death caps will send you into convulsions and all that bullshit. Amanita Muscaria var muscaria and amanita muscaria var formosa will not send you into convulsions and does make you trip balls if prepared correctly. If they are not they will make you sick to your stomach but no convulsions. The effect you get from the amanitas is one of a spirtual effect if exceeding 10 grams. Out of body experieces, massive changes in perception, feelings of oneness with the environment.

Also I must state that amanita muscaria var muscaria are said to be the mushrooms used in the sacred drink called SOMA. A hallucinogenic sacred drink of ancient times. Also the beserker vikings ate them to go "beserk"
