Was humanity really created by a race of fish-men from a planet in the Sirius star system? It's hard to deny that some type of life exsists in the universe besides our own. How can we explain unexplainable UFO sightings and alien encounters? I agree that the majority of reports are somehow explainable by Earthly phenomenon, but what about the small percentage that have some substance to them? Personally I dont think it's logical to think Humans are the one and only race of beings in the universe.

With that established, we are now free to wonder about our exsistence and how the Aliens might fight into it all. There is a tribe in West Africa called the Dogon tribe who believe that their ancestors were visited by fish-men looking aliens claiming to be from the Sirius star system, some 5000 years ago. Could this be a fairy tale? Maybe. Let us assume for a moment that indeed these people did make contact with life from another world, what does it mean? Well for the the Dogon tribe it means everything. These people base their religion and culture off of these beliefs, much as modern, civilized men center thier lives around their own religion. What is fascinating about these people and their Alien encounter is the information these aliens supposedly passed on to them. These so-called "primitive" African native knew about the orbit of the star Sirius; how long it took to spin on it's axis, how many light-years away it was, and even the exsistence of a tiny white dwarf star near it not visible to the naked eye. Interestingly enough, modern astronomers took until the 19th century to confirm the exsistence of this second star, a star which these "primitive" tribal people knew of thousands of years before hand. Coincidence? Unlikely.

Now what about the Bible? How does that pertain to any of this? The Bible seems to record many miraculous and super natural type events, such as the burning bush that Moses saw, or the miraculous parting of the Red Sea. What if somehow Aliens had created such amazing acts of magic to lead mankind towards it's destiny? Could the modern perception of God and the afterlife just be a misunderstanding of events that transpired between man and Alien visitors? Thes are bold and, I admit, eccentric, idea, but what if somehow humans are just the victim of some kind of interstellar science project for some Alien child in the Sirius star system? Better yet, what if humans themselves were the result of Alien genetic engineering in the first place?

I'm glad to get my thoughts out in the open. Please share your thoughts on these issues and feel free to flame/dicuss. Thanks for reading. chao.
