So why don't you teach your doctors about crystal healing? While your at it, your engineers might need a crash course sonic levitation. Historians have to know about the important role reptilians, grays and other aliens have played in human history. Why don't you teach that?
This is a ridiculous debate! Why don't we worry about some real problems instead? If you're so worried your kids are being educated "incorrectly", take the responsibility and get actively involved with their education, don't force everyone to see things your way simply because you couldn't be bothered to look after your own kids.
Plus give them some credit, will you? The point of school is not to teach kids about knowing this-and-that, it's to teach them how to approach learning about this-and-that (the fact that it fails miserably, even at this, is a different story altogether). If a kid is susceptible to “brainwashing” because they have no interest in looking at the complete picture, the fault probably lies with the manufacturer, not the educator.
The point is, all arguments - pro or against - fall away and become irrelevant when people are trying to intervene at the wrong level.
