Your beliefs from the Internet

How come so many people on here claim to be converted by people on this forum? Doesn't it seem ridiculous that people could derive divine insight from an online persona, sometimes which is neither compassionate or caring?

Can't people be bothered to figure it out for themselves?

I've never been converted by anyone, but why should written arguments differ frome spoken ones? The bible is written, wether it's in a book or on a website, it'd be the same.

Let's assume God exists, let's say he had spread his word on a website. Would it really be any different from a book?

The internet is simply a means of communication. There are real people behind these 'internet personas', you know. How is it any different from realigning your perception through a face-to-face discussion?

I am asking why people can't figure it out on their own instead of getting the "real" scoop from internet personas.

I know of a few people on Totse where a seed was planted and its staring to blossom. As well, many of the Christians here know that if these are in fact the last days, people are becoming educated on the fundamentals of Christianity. They may have an immediate aversion towards the Spirit currently, but when a great many events start to come to pass they will remember what was spoken.

Honestly, I'm all for individual research. However, where do you think any and all information that you may come across originated? Other people!

Whether you're reading a scientific study or simply listening to others ramble on an internet forum, it doesn't matter. It all boils down to humanity's limited grasp of the world around us. We take in whatever information we deem necessary. This is a simple concept.

What in the hell is the point in bitching about the methods that others utilize to learn (i.e. Hearing the opinions of others) when you yourself have only other people to turn to for answers?
