What would you count a sign from GOD as?

Today i was like walking to work, i'd just got off the bus, and 20 seconds later a guy approaches me and he's like "hey i found these sitting there do you want them" he was reffering to an italian brand, 30 pack of cigarettes. I was like no thanks and kept going. Not 5 minutes later, im still walking, and i stop at a crossing were i find a half full lighter, and thats when i kinda feaked out, is this a sign that god wants me to smoke or what... please help me.

yes this is definatly a sign i would immediatly start smoking anything you can get your hands on...

No. Sounds to me like you were subconsciously looking for a coincidence. If the guy on the bus hadn't offered you the cigarrettes, you probably would have never noticed the lighter.

One time I had a weight training class at my high school. There was this one girl with brown hair in that class that seemed to have a crush on me. I kept noticing that weird things would happen that would bring us together, as if by fate. One time I missed the regular time to start the weight training thingy (it went on a 30 minute routine) and so I went in for the second round. And she was the only one there with me. I would also meet her by accident over and over outside of class, usually walking through the hallways.

And so one day I eventually got her phone number and tried calling her, thinking I must have been fated to know her somehow. It turned out that she had a boyfriend, and although I suggested that we could talk sometime she never called back. And that was the last time I ever saw or spoke to her.

Point being, coincidences are just that -- coincidences. Try not to take them too seriously.

this made me think and remember my own time that somthing like that so i wrote about it. (difrent thread) strange how shit like that happens but mine was more religeous

I might want to clarify... coincidences can be a sign that there's a relation between two things. Like if you see poop on a rug and a dog nearby, it might be that the dog pooped on the rug. But don't take them to mean anything like something's fated a certain way, or God's telling you something. It just doesn't work that way.

The lighter wasn't hard to miss it was on top of those things you push to cross a road... and i dont think i wanted it consciously or subconsciously, i dont smoke and i know what happens when you do.

Just cause she had a boyfriend doesn't mean its not fate...This is when thou must drape the black hoody and start following her just to make sure...just...to...make...sure...

i think you were fated together but when you rang her up did you panic and just breath heavily into the phone because that could be your problem

I didn't say you wanted to smoke subconsciously. I said you were looking for a coincidence subconsciously.

Lots of people smoke, so there's lots of cigarrettes and lighters being carried around. So it's not THAT strange of a coincidence. I do agree it's odd, though. But keep in mind that associations like this are just ways that our mind puts together situations logically. And when you can't attribute it to anything rational, you assign it some mysterious force like "God" or "Fate" or if you're really paranoid like me, "The Government."

I've been in college for two years now. Unless she ends up going to the local community college this year (she was two grades beneath me) I don't think anything's going to happen.

I once asked God for a sign that he existed no sooner had I done so a firework went off I then asked God if that was his sign and another one went off no other fireworks went off for the rest of the night and both those fireworks came from different directions.
