But the LaVey Church of Satan or whatever it's called doesn't actually believe in God or Satan. Kind of a secular church, saying that each person is their own god and should do what they think is morally right, not what a religions tells them is. Or that's my impression anyway.

Has anyone read The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey? I'm thinking I should look into that.

I do not understand how you can be a satan worshipper if the whole concept of satan and hell is of torture and endless pain. People who fall under this category are the biggest idiots with the majority only posing for attention. Most of these satan worshippers have no knowledge about hell and satan, to fully understand satan (as far as humans know/created) you would have to read the bible to have the counter claims and the opposite view. that is why satanism is for those who are gifted with intellegence, so you wont join. The whole concept of satanism is to question the norm. I dont believe in hell and tortore so why should i be afraid of it? why should i go along with the christian heard? for fear of some mighty "god" striking me down?

Yes that is LaVey Satanism, the other kind of Satanism, the Worship of Satan, claims that Satan is the true God.
