As a nonbeliever of God in the mid west I have been told I am going to hell forever by the indigenous Christians. This got me to think what do other theologies say atheists like my self, are going when we die. (for the sake of discussion I will not nitpick the definition of atheist, agnostics and various unreligious terms in describing my self)
For the example lets use the normal atheist westerner. A normal atheist westerner who has not accomplished any great good works (no 20 years feeding the homeless and $100,000+ donated to charity), eats normal diet consisting of beef, pork, other meats, vegetables, fruits, what not and maybe alcohol. Not a bad person by today’s standers and has never done any thing to bad or evil in the eyes of society.
I wasn't able to find the exact views of atheism for various religions but I assumed that an atheist would get the lesser of the options in afterlife according to religion.
Christianity – Eternal hell
I have been told this enough I don’t need to cite any thing
Reason – You are an unchurched heathen that has not accepted the one true Lord and savior Jesus Christ. (IE not a Christian)
Mormonism – temporary hell then you get a chance to repent
