The 3 transgressions of Syria can be thought of as the 1948, 1967 and 1973 Wars. This is Syria's 4th transgression against Israel.
Gilead is the name of the kidnapped soldier.
And, of course it mentions Gaza and the captive going to "Edom" which is moder day West Bank.
