Why do we even have gods?
Totally independent, all cultures - every single one of them, Have had a belief. either it was river spirits, sun gods or the almighty god. They're never the same, so it cant be becouse one faith is the right one.
its only becouse, humans allways have need one to thank, to whine to, and to pray to.
And the only reason you believing dickholes are thinking that there's a life of some kind after this, is because, the human mind isn't fit to think of 2 things.
nothing.. and eternity.
when you're dead its over, deal with it.

religion have been a source of great inner peace through history... so has knitting.
religion have caused lots of wars througout history, knitting hasn't
