If God or some higher power/supreme being put us here, why?
Sure, maybe he wants to see that we're good enough for heaven. Why even bother? Why make a heaven and people and souls and earth? And the rest of the universe? Isn't that just a waste of energy? I mean, it's not like we do anything to make God more powerful in heaven, except maybe to feed his ego.
Or maybe it's for his entertainment. But then why aren't we allowed to do "bad" things? Or sin, you might say? Isn't it more entertaining if we're hurting and backstabbing and doing bad things to each other? Where's the entertainment in watching a bunch of people run around doing ridiculous things trying to please God? Again, maybe to feed his ego... but isn't he a loving god?
Maybe it's all about us, and our souls... but if so, what's the point of living at all, even if you're a good person. If you're going to spend an eternity in heaven, 80 or 90 years really isn't all that long. Doesn't seem long enough for us to prove ourselves worthy.
I think my question is why would God ever create us? It seems so pointless.
I think I just explained to myself why I believe in evolution.
