Early religions and drugs.

Early tribal religions used natural drugs from the forrest to control the people following it, and to convince them to believe them in spirits ect.

Do any other religions still do this today?

I saw it on a documentary.

They had a early form of solvent, and they used it during ceremonies, and they believed when under its influence they saw spirits. This modern tribe made him some and theyshowed him it.

I think you have it all wrong. Tribes would use psychedelics such as peyote and psilocybin mushrooms , as part of the ceremony to becomming a full adult-usually led by shamans. Their ideas about spirituality stemmed from their experimenting with these drugs, because the drugs allowed them to reach and understand a higher sense of consciousness. It was a way for them to explain what they couldn't, and for the Native Americans especially - it was very infulential to their beliefs.

Edit: Our species has always had a VERY close connection with nature, until recently since we've started to believe we can rise 'above' it's power. Psychedelics are all natural- and a way to share a close bond with nature.

I think usually it was just the shaman that was tripping and going on the spirit quests. And shamans weren't really the leaders - they were more like a resident doctor / therapist. They usually had a peripheral role, where people went to them when they felt they didn't have other options. And even then, psyechelics were for special rituals and desperate situations.

Most traditional societies didn't have much central organization, and I don't think you get control over people by feeding them some mushrooms.

You cannot control people with hallucinogenics because the experience is so different for every person



what you are describing could be something like in the move Altered States, where there is a species of mushroom that produces a single, common hallucination, and we have not found that

there is evidence that trips can bleed over into each other from person to person, but to control people would be an exageration

thoough you could say that ancent tribes used hallucinogens to promote spiritual authority by letting common folk experience the spirit world

I have read that Hallucinogenic or psycodelic Drugs stimulate the Kundalini yoga. Including LSD, Mushrooms, Marijuana, Salvia and including the precious Metal Gold also known as the Hidden Manna in the Bible! Near death experiences and fasting also stimulate. The funny thing is the Human mind is capable of producing a natural hallucinogen in its self after other hallucinogens are used called Dimethyltryptamine(DMT).

Wikipedia states:

DMT creates legal dilemmas in many countries because possession is illegal but at the same time the drug is naturally present in the human body.

Erowid Law states:

N,N-DMT is Schedule I in the United States. This means it is illegal to manufacture, buy, possess, or distribute (sell, trade or give) without a DEA license.

Even though the Human mind manufactures DMT naturally!

Kundalini yoga is the true goal of spiritual baptisim, path to immortality, path of enlightenment, Stairway to Heaven, also known as the "Holy Spirit", and finding the Kingdom of Heaven in the bible, the most jealously guarded secrets in human history and the path to Interior Illumination. In other words this is the path that Jesus Christ found, including other famous people including Joan of Ark, Dali Lahma, Budda, Gopi Krisna, ect.

I have read that the Kundalini awakening is the same thing as Shaman's sickness or Shaman's illness, they call it an illness because the person experiencing this transformation becomes mental, because the symptoms are undescribable!

If one studys Bi-Polar disorder to the fullest extent they will discover that Bi-Polar disorder is Premature Kundalini! I was told by a doctor that if a Bi-polar experiances these kundalini symptoms and explains the symptoms to a Brahman Preist they will be declared a Kundalini Activist or a Shaman which is rarer then Genius! Another interesting peice of information is that I noticed Bi-Polar dates back to 49 A.D. to 150 A.D. The Kundalini dates back 500,000 B.C.! Bi-Polar is used because most in the Western hemisphere do not accept the Kundalini Yoga to be real. So Bi-Polar was used and most of the symptoms were dropped because the Kundalini symptoms started the psychosis all over again!

If you study into this transformation further you will discover that people who are gifted enough to have an awakening are automatically declared tribal leader in some parts of the world not because of how much fame or wealth they have but the knowledge they posses after the awakening! To bad it isnt like that in America, Everybody sees the world going to hell because of money.

I was studying Yoga and in the past in some tribes around the world the poor would consume the urine from the rich that consume these psycodelic drugs because the rich were the only people able to afford the drugs that stimulate the Kundalini!

Not sure if we're thinking of the same practice, but I'm fairly sure the spiritual tribal leader in some european countries would eat the Fly Agaric and then the tribes people would consume the urine ...

... Of course I can only vouch for this because I saw something on TV once... Which is obviously correct.....
