something i never understood about christianity..

im not bashing beliefs or anything. i just have a question.

it seems to me like christians talk about jesus much more than god, and even speak of jesus as god even though he is "the son of god".

why?

Jesus is God. So when we talk about the nature of Jesus, we are talking about the nature of God.

That doesn't make sense. Jesus obviously had human qualities and was not omniscient, or he never would have exclaimed "My god, my god, why hath thou forsaken me?".

Yes, Jesus had human characteristics, and divine characteristics. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. He could still pray and talk to God, even though He was God.

Which is why your statement "So when we talk about the nature of Jesus, we are talking about the nature of God." makes no sense. If Jesus was not omniscient, one can't say that talking about his nature is talking about God's nature.

Who said Jesus wasn't omniscient. Anyway what I sort of meant talking about Him in regards to what He taught, His views and stuff. Not how He percieved the world in our terms.

I did. And then you responded to my post.

An omniscient god in human form wouldn't talk to himself, asking why he has forsaken himself, even under extreme duress (unless he wasn't perfect). If he didn't want to be in the situation he was in, he could easily get himself out of it if he was also omnipotent. He was obviously speaking to the Father which must have been greater than him. As a matter of fact, in the book of John, Jesus says "The Father is greater than I".

The whole trinity thing makes zero sense. Jesus talked to God, therefore they are two separate individuals.

That cannot be debated.
